Hi all, I know it's been a few months since the last update. Of course life has been really busy with our family with the addition of Paige. She is wonderful and has brought a new joy to our lives.
On to the book. Quiet Room Charlee is still plugging away. Three facilities are using it for a training resourse which is super. Everyone who has read it and has experience in the field says it really hits home to the work they do. For those unfamiliar with the "biz", they are impacted with a realization of the lives that these kids have lived.
It's being used for an Introduction to Clinical Psychology class at IUP and also for some sort of child development class at Chapman College in CA.
I have started a FACEBOOK group dedicated to promotion of Quiet Room Charlee. It's a group dedicated to getting Quiet Room Charlee into the hands of either a Lifetime TV producer or Oprah!! The idea is based off the 6 degree of seperation idea. You join, invite your friends, they invite their friends and eventually, someone out there who works in the industry will pick it up and read it! It's an open group and anyone can join.
